Old & New Engagement Rings

One of the most special parts of my work is when couples come in to design their rings side by side. Engagement rings don’t have to match perfectly, but when designed together, they can share subtle details that make them unique to their love story.
These Modern Lovers were the perfect example. One was gifted her late mother’s engagement ring, she wanted to honour its meaning while also making it her own. We kept the original round brilliant diamond and repurposed the old gold, giving it a fresh new mount, and added six marquise diamonds to bring extra sparkle and personality. It became a modern heirloom that still carried all the sentiment of the original.
Her partner was starting fresh, so we created a bold marquise diamond ring accented with smaller side stones. The design tied beautifully to hers, with both rings sharing marquise cut diamonds while still reflecting their individual styles.
