This pendant is one of our personal favourites. It is a piece people fall so heavily in love with they only ever take off when they are forced to! Perhaps it is the combination of the black diamond and the yellow gold, but we have yet to see (or create) a sexier piece of jewellery. In the popular imagination, a diamond is white, so a black diamond is ideal if you want a gem that is unexpected yet sophisticated. Unlike the clear diamond, you cannot see ‘into’ a black one. Instead, the multi-faceted surface (technically, this is a round brilliant cut) takes such high polish and its lustre is so fine that you get beautiful flashes from the depths of the stone. There is no doubt this is a diamond! On its own, the pendant appears delicate but strongly individual. While its simplicity also means that it combines with other pendants and chains to create an amazing layered look. Its versatility and uniqueness make it the ideal gift—and it is especially popular for April birthdays.
